This website
began as a one page assignment for a graduate course I had taken at
Rutgers, the State University of
New Jersey.
It grew into a 30+ page site on the Rutgers' server through my
education and employment there. I have since left the employment of
Rutgers University, and acquired this new domain for my site:
withoutavoice.net
Information about the two things that
are close to my heart are represented on this site...
Autism
and
Rescue Beagles
Yes, a strange combination, I know.
But the name of the domain "withoutavoice" hints to a common
thread. (I am in no way comparing children with autism with
beagles!) It is just that, in different ways and for different
reasons, we often need some assistance in understanding the
communication attempts from both. We often need to step back and
rethink how the world appears to others, and try to communicate in
what makes sense to them, and not just ourselves. Maybe you can find
some helpful information on this website to help you do so.
